My Story

I grew up in a family that was heavily involved in politics. Some of my fondest memories are of sitting at the kitchen table on a saturday morning and talking politics with my dad and grandfather. We would talk about politicians, laws, bills, and principles. Those saturday morning, often stretching into Saturday afternoon, talks catapulted my interest in politics and government.

As I grew older I began studying history to understand the motivations of the Founding Fathers, and  to see that those founding principles were the basis and the underpinnings of the most prosperous country in the history of the world. But I also began to see how America had drifted away from those principles. God birthed in my heart a desire and a drive to see America return to the principles that made her successful.

To this end I attended Patriot Academy as a spectator for the first time in 2009, just watching the academy made me realize that there are people out there like me, with the drive and passion for the foundation of this nation. When I returned to the academy in 2010 and then again in 2011, I was even more encouraged by meeting wonderful Patriots from all over the country, and by seeing young people continuing to sharpen themselves and hone their skills.
